The interchangeable escapement module was developed by H. Moser & Cie to simplify the adjustment, cleaning, maintenance and servicing of the watch. The removable module makes it easier to clean and lubricate the rest of the mechanism before placing the pre-adjusted escapement module in the assembly process. It also reduces the maintenance time of the watch. The escapement module is mounted with two screws. The movement has also additional protection, locking lever for second wheel to prevent unwanted release of the main spring when the module is replaced.
