1883 - Pallweber's pocked watch with digital display

The digital pocket watch was invented in 1883 by an Austrian engineer Josef Pallweber, who created a jump-hour mechanism.
Digital displays, in which hours and minutes are shown as digits, were an alternative to classic analogue watches with hourly and minute hands.
